INCUBUS Guitarist On SONY Lawsuit: 'We Just Want To Concentrate On Music'

INCUBUS guitarist Mike Einziger was recently asked to comment on the band's pending lawsuit against Sony Music in an attempt to break free from their contract that requires the group to make four more albums with the company's Epic Records label.

"To be perfectly honest, I don't really want to talk about it because I don't want to get wrapped up in the politics of trying to appear a certain way," he said. "We just want to be dealt with fairly, period. End of story. We just want to concentrate on music and not worry about all that crap. That's why we have a manager."

The suit was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court in Santa Monica on February 6. Sony filed a countersuit in Manhattan just days later claiming INCUBUS still owes the label four albums under a 1996 contract signed by the group.
